Senator Olujimi, Ayo Fayose, Holds Parallel Congress, Produces Different EXCOS
The Ekiti People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Local Government Congress has taken a new dimension as two executive Officials have been declared at the just concluded local government congress in the State.
The lingering crisis rocking the People’s Democratic Party in Ekiti State on Friday has produced two parallel executive party officials.
The immediate Governor of the State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, and his Camp held their own Congress separately from the camp of Serving Senator Abiodun Olujimi, which both Camps came to concluded at providing executive officials at the end of their parallel Congresses.

We gathered that the loyalist of Senator Abiodun Olujimi held their own Congress at the PDP Secretariat located in each local government area of the State, while the erstwhile Governor Ayodele Fayose and his followers held their Congress at a resident belonging to some party leaders in each of the 16 local government areas of the State.
Sen. Abiodun Olujimi and Ayo Fayose had been at logger-head over the domination of the party structure in the State, and this has resulted in two factions.
The leadership crisis between the two political elephants in the State has resulted has now resulted in two parallel executives.

According to political analysts, who believed that both of the political gladiators are using all that they have to secure a soft landing for themselves ahead of the 2022 governorship election in the State.
However, Senator Abiodun Olujimi In her reaction towards the issue has blamed the National Working Committee of the PDP for the development.
She accused Prince Uche Secondus who led the National Working Committee on Complicity, she noted that Secondus Complicity has not only fueling the crisis but also fanning embers of discord among the party leadership in the State.
