APC Members Meet For Reconciliation…See Details

Oyo State former Governor, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala is currently playing host to All Progressive Congress (APC) reconciliation team in his Bodija, Ibadan residence today, Saturday, 29th, August 2020.
Otunba Alao Akala who succeeded the Ibadan Politian Chief Rasheed Ladoja on May, 12th, 2007 to become executive Governor of the Pace Setter State is now hosting the first enlarge reconciliation meeting with some major stakeholders, as well as some party leaders.
The meeting which is the first of it’s kind for the party in the State after the demise of the immediate Governor of the State, Late Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi.
Recall, that the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, just before his departure has inaugurated the reconciliation Committee that saddled with the responsibility of settling the differences in the party structure and to also appeal to the aggrieved members of the party that has left to have a rethink and come back to the Progressive fold.
The former governor has at a time declared that he would not take part in the future gubernatorial elections in the Oyo state but will ensure a sellable and acceptable candidate emerges through primary elections in 2023.
The meeting according to some political analysts said to be part of the moves to forge a united front between all members of the party in the state.
Otunba Christopher Alao-Akala, whom the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi succeeded on May 29th, 2011 has confirmed in his remarks that he was neither interested in the governorship of Oyo State in 2023 nor supporting any governorship aspirant on the platform of the party but stated that his doors are open to all members of the party.
He said a credible and transparent primary election must be held ahead of the 2023 elections.
Chief Otunba Akala also maintained his decision to step aside for the governorship election, a decision according to him that will make it possible for him to carry out the chairmanship reconciliation task bestowed on him by the late former governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi without fear or favor.
