Since the inception of Kayode Fayemi’s admnistration in Ekiti State two years ago, the state has reportedly witnessing relative progress in infrastructural development and socioeconomic growth. This has been essentially achieved with government collaboration with notable government agencies and private organizations.

In this regard, the Ekiti train of development landed on Monday at Ijan Ekiti, as the representative of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Ganiyu Atobatele, handed over a renovated block of two classrooms with two offices renovated by the Central Bank of Nigeria at Saint Silas Primary school Ijan-Ekiti in Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state.

His Excellency Dr. John Kayode Fayemi was represented by the Chairman of State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Akinwumi Femi Sunday accompanied by Barr Kayode Adeoye, Commissioner project Management and the commissioner Human Resources, Dr. (Mrs) Olufunke Fajobi and the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Oludare Ajayi (SUBEB) were on ground to receive the representatives.

Below are some images from the event.

It will be recalled that Fayemi, has continually reiterated that his administration would not relent in pursuing the restoration of the foundational values and principles of education in the state, noting that education is a right and not a privilege.

In asserting this, the state government recently approved a new education policy, which mandated the teaching of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) as a subject at the primary care of education.
