Delta Governor said that the Council Elections may not hold in January.
News Rain reports that the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has disclosed that there might not be council elections in the State in January 2021.

What Okowa Said About Council Elections In Delta

Governor Okowa made the disclosure on Sunday, during the Thanksgiving Service that was held In commemorating the second term in office of the State Chairman of the ruling party in the State, Peoples Democratic Party, Kingsley Esiso.
The Governor’s decision has declined some expectations that there might likely be council elections in the state by January 2021 following the end of the tenure of the local government chairmen in the State.
Governor Okowa however warned the to various positions at the council level to wait for the timetable that will be released to the effect by the State electoral commission.
Okowa also used the occasion to congratulate the State Chairman of the party.
Governor Okowa maintained that the State chairman re-election shows a vote of confidence in his running affairs of the party.
