Masari said, ” many in the leadership hierarchy and the led, considerations other than national interest take prime place in their heart, placing Nigeria a distant second or even third”
“Most of these false starts are the product of the fault lines that have defined the history of Nigeria as a single entity.

Governor Masari in his speech noted that the regional, religious, and ethnic considerations have retarded Nigeria’s development as a nation.
He said that the advanced countries have been able to get to where they are today just because their citizens support their leaders most especially when making national interest policies.
