Bayelsa Election: PDP Governors Felicitate With Diri On Victory

News Rain Nigeria reports that Peoples Democratic Party governors have declared governor Douye Diri Appeal Court victory on Friday as an act of God’s will.

The Governors under the PDP Governors Forum Platform noted that the news of the Diri Victory at the Appeal Court is not a surprise but shows that the hand of God is clearly on the throne concerning the leadership of Governor Diri as he administered the affairs of Bayelsa State.

PDP governors forum under the leadership of the Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, through a statement by its Director-General, Cyril Maduabum said the victory is a testimony to show that God is really involved in the leadership of Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State.

Maduabum, also stated that the victory shows the gallant efforts been made by Diri since he assumed office as the Executive Governor of the State.

However, the Forum through the statement called on Governor Diri to reciprocate the love of the people with the resolve to continue to do more in delivering democratic dividends to the people of Bayelsa State.

The statement stated further that, “It is now left for Governor Diri to reciprocate the love of the people with the resolve to continue to do more in delivering democratic dividends to the people of Bayelsa State who have not only put their hopes on him but have also given their wholehearted trust and undiluted loyalty. We are certain that you will continue to rise to the occasion in the tradition of PDP Governors.

The PDP Governors, while congratulating Bayelsa State Governor Diri for his victory through the statement said: “This current affirmation of your mandate, necessary support, prayers and loyalty given by Bayelsans clears the path for you to settle down in the enormous task of taking the state to greater heights without any further distractions”.

“Your colleagues, Governors of the PDP and our great party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP will continue to support you to succeed.”

“We appeal to the Advanced Nigeria Democratic Party (ANDP) and the unseen hands supporting them, to also realize that there must be an end to litigation and it is time to allow Bayelsa Governor to move the State forward by delivering the good governance Bayelsa people crave for and deserve.
