Ondo Election: Don’t Allow APC’s Violence, Threats Prevent You From Voting-Makinde

Gov. Makinde has urged Ondo people to vote, irrespective of threat from APC.
News Rain Nigeria reports that Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has urged the Ondo State electorates to go out en-mass to vote for the candidates of their choice, irrespective of the violence pressure and threat from the All Progressive Congress in the State.
Governor Seyi Makinde, who is the Peoples Democratic Party Gubernatorial National Campaign Council for Ondo State has on Sunday just after his meeting with the AIG in Charge and the Ondo State Commissioner of Police accused the APC Ondo State Chapter of trying to use violence means to mal the entire electoral process in Ondo State.
Not that the election which has been scheduled to hold in the State on  October 10, 2020, has been generating reactions from different quarters.

Ondo Election: Makinde Speaks

Governor Makinde in his reaction after the security meeting with the Police Cheifs called on security agencies in the state to step up the efforts to prevent the APC, which he accused of being desperate to retain Ondo State, from perpetrating further violence ahead of the poll.
Engineer Seyi Makinde, also promised that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party would prevent the APC from using violence to truncate the will of the people in the election.
The Governor also appealed to the people of the state not to allow the violence being unleashed by the APC to affect their resolve to vote for the standard-bearer of the PDP, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN),  urging them to send the APC and their representatives out of the Alagbaka Government House on Saturday.
Governor Makinde, also in a press statement that was issued and signed to the effect by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa noted that while the  PDP and its candidate, Jegede, had been working hard to convince the electorate, by running issue-based campaigns and pointing out how the APC’s Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has brought untold hardship upon the people, the ruling party has been busy unleashing violence on PDP members.
Makinde through the statement which was made available to News Rain, Reporter in Ibadan, the Capital City of Oyo State, on Sunday stated that the ruling party has shown desperation to retain the state despite failing the people.
Governor Makinde said: “We have been working hard in support of our candidate and our great party the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the past months, and it all comes down to one day: October 10, 2020. “The PDP as a party and our candidate, Eyitayo Jegede SAN, have run an issue-based campaign.
“The issues are clear: The APC led administration has brought their characteristic pain and suffering upon the people of Ondo State. Makinde stressed.
