Just In: Buhari Appoints Media Aid, Three Others As INEC Commissioners

News Rain Nigeria gathered that President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday approved the appointment of Mrs. Lauretta Onochie, his Special Assistant on Social Media, as the National Commissioner of Independent Electoral Commission for Delta State.

The development was made known to the public through a letter that was forwarded to the Senate, which was also read by the Senate President on the floor of the House, during the Tuesday plenary.

Also on the list of appointment by President Buhari, are three other National Commissioners for INEC, and they are Prof. Mohammed Sani Katsina), Prof. Kunle Ajayi (Ekiti) and Seidu Ahmed (Jigawa).

President Buhari through the letter which was read by Senator Ahmed Lawal pleaded for the proper consideration and approval of the whole House on his choice of the appointees.
