Lagos State has announced dates of resumptions for all classes.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Lagos State Government on Monday announced the resumption dates for all classes in both the primary-secondary schools in the State.
Resumption Date For All School Classes In Lagos
The development which was declared through a statement that was issued from the office of the State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, stated that the resumption date, Monday, 19th of October 2020 is meant for all the remaining classes in both public and private schools in the State.
According to the statement which was signed by Mr. Kayode Abayomi, Head of Public Affairs of the Minimum of Education in the State, which a copy was made available to the pressmen on Monday stressed that the decision was taken after careful deliberations and consultations with relevant stakeholders.
The directives also addressed major educational stakeholders in the State such as the safety professionals and nursery school providers in all public and private schools to strongly adhered safety of themselves and the pupils in their schools.
The statement affirmed that there is a need for all the schools to first adhered to all the COVID-19 safety protocols and hygiene guidelines as instructed by the State Government through the Ministry of Education.
The State Commissioner for Education noted that the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) will continue to monitor and evaluate school preparedness.
The necessary resumption protocols must be adhered to and cleared “satisfactory” by the OEQA. Mrs. Adefisayo stated.
