Genevieve Nnaji has asked the Federal Government to arrest and charge those who killed innocent #EndSARS protesters.
News Rain Nigeria gathered that the popular actress via her Twitter handle @GenevieveNnaji said Nigerians do not believe the Federal government is listening to the concerns raised by the #EndSARS protesters if nobody has been dismissed, arrested, and charged for the murder of innocent protesters.
As far as she is concerned, accountability is the first step to change.
She said: ”We don’t believe you are listening when nobody has been dismissed, arrested, and charged for the murder of innocent protesters and citizens. Accountability is the first step to change. #EndSars#EndSWAT”.
Recall that Genevieve Nnaji won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress In A Leading Role in 2005, making her the first actor to win the award. In 2011, she was honored as a Member of the Order Of The Federal Republic (MFR) by the Nigerian government for her contributions to Nollywood. Her directorial debut movie, Lionheart, is the first Netflix Original from Nigeria, and the first Nigerian submission for the Oscars. The movie was disqualified for having most of its dialogue in English.
