Chief Mrs Tola Awolowo Oyediran, the eldest daughter of Chief Obafemi Awolowo Is Dead

News Rain Nigeria gathered that Chief Revd  Tola Oyediran ( nee Awolowo) passed on a few hours ago today Friday 16 October 2020, as she was to celebrate her 80th birthday on 1 December 2020.

She was the eldest child of the late sage and former Premier of the defunct Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Until her death, Chief Revd  Tola Oyediran was the Chairman Board of Directors of African Newspapers of Nigeria ( ANN) publishers of Tribune titles. She was fondly known as Mama Ibadan.

The family source said she did not show any signs of illness except for old age. She was still hale and hearty till yesterday night.

Recall that his younger brother and the erstwhile Tribune Publisher, Oluwole Awolowo, dies in London on March 27, 2013, at 70.
