Oyo SUBEB has distributed motocycles and other office equipment to officers.
News Rain Nigeria reports that Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board under the leadership of Dr. Nureni Adeniran declared the distribution of motocycles and other office tools to its Quality Assurance personnel and their offices.
The distribution of the motocycles and other several items meant for office use are to ensure that the State pupils receive a quality education through periodically monitoring by the Officer.
Dr. Adeniran the Executive Chairman of the Board while handling over the motocycles and other office items noted that the equipments were provided to ease duties of the officers while on a monitoring tour and to also enhance the delivery of quality education in the State.
He said, ” this gesture is in line with the State Government determination towards ensuring that Oyo State pupils receive quality education.
“We are always ready to give necessary and adequate support that will further make quality education accessible to every child in the state.
Some of the Basic Education Quality Assurance Officers that were beneficiaries of the equipments make promises to use the materials given to them for the betterment of the State educational sector.
Some of the office equipments that were handed over to the officers at the Ibadan Headquarters of the Board, are brand new laptops and printer machines.
Dr. Adeniran also charged the officers to make good use of the equipment given to them for the development of basic education in the State.
However, in a similar situation, the Oyo State Government, through OyoSUBEB has applauded a non – profit organization, the Junior Chambers International for renovating blocks of classrooms in Seventh Day Adventist Primary School, Ibadan.
The Junior Chambers International under the Oyo State Adopt -A – School Project, renovated the blocks of classrooms in the Seventh Day Adventist Primary School, and commissioned it for State use.
Speaking during the commissioning of the project, Mr. Sanmi Abiodun, who is the President of the JCI Ibadan, stated that the organization intends to build and equip a library for the school.
Mr. Sanmi also noted that the Junior Chambers International reconstructed the delapidated wall of the school to enhance security of lives and properties that are in the school.
Speaking on behalf of the state government, Dr. Nureni Adeniran commended the efforts of the NGO for the laudable initiative, noting that the project will go a long way towards positive enhancement of the level of assimilation of pupils in the school.
Dr. Adeniran used the occasion to call on well meaning Nigerians to emulate the good gesture of the JCI Ibadan to help government in their pursuit of academic excellent for the pupils across the state, as he said government alone cannot do it all.
He said, “JCI kind gesture came at a time the State government is encouraging public private partnership, calling individuals to invest in education needs in the State.
Dr. Adeniran also said that the ” Engr. Seyi Makinde led administration is doing a lot to redeem the education sector of the state.
He said, “we have been doing a lot in construction and renovation of our school buildings, however kind hearted organization like yours can also key into the program to support government, for the sake of our children and our future, there is no support that is too small.
