ENDSARS: Commercial Drivers Join Protest, Block Major Roads
Commercial drivers have joined the ENDSARS protesters in Ibadan.
News Rain Nigeria report that Commercial drivers in Ibadan on Monday trooped out in numbers to join the ENDSARS protesters, demanding an end to police extortion.
The commercial drivers were seen at the entrance of the University of Ibadan, forcefully ordering some of their members that are yet to comply with their directives to come on board, left passengers to their fates.

The protesters’ drivers used the traffic warden stands seen around to block major roads linking Agboowo University of Ibadan entrance, to prevent other motorists from free access of movements.
News Rain Nigeria correspondent who monitored the protest interviewed some of the drivers, and they spoke in one voice on condition of anonymous.
They said, ” we are protesting against the exorbitant extortion of the policemen, we are also making using of this ENDSARS protest to register our displeasure over the incessant exorbitant extortion by the police.
“We are tired of the police extortion, they are always on the road, especially on the major bus stop, demanding for N50 and in some cases N100 from us, this is too much, we too have families to feed, and most of us got our cabs through an installment basis.
“It is a must for us to give them that money, as failure to give them will amount to them wasting our team for the whole day, Were not pleased with the way they used to extort us, it’s unfair.

Some of the protesters also lay siege at the Agodi Secretariat entrance, forced the security operatives to shut down the gate of the Secretariat.
News Rain Nigeria also gathered that the ENDSARS protesters have blocked, other major roads in Ibadan, the Capital city of Oyo State.
Some of the major roads that are blocked by the protesters are Mokola, Challenge, Apata to Omi, Omi to Abeokuta, Secretariat to Gate Bus Stop, Iwo Rd to Olodo roads, among others.
