Eniola Badmus has reacted to the news about her death.

 

News Rain Nigeria gathered that prominent Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus, has reacted to the news that she was among those shot dead at the #EndSARS protest at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State.

Recall that there have been news and videos on social media showing someone who was said to be Badmus on Tuesday shortly after an open fire on protesters, killing no fewer than seven and injuring 28.

The lady in blue top and black pants had a hole in her tummy.

But in a tweet on her Twitter handle on Wednesday, Badmus said the news was false.

She tweeted: “Against all speculations about me being shot or dead at the unspeakable incident that happened at the toll gate a few hours ago, I would like to inform you guys that I Eniola Badmus is hale and hearty.#EniolaBadmus.”

Also recalled that the ongoing protest against police brutality has gone violent across the country with state governments imposing curfew on some states.

Popular Lekki Tollgate was notorious for the protest where hundreds of protesters gathered on daily basis. On Tuesday, Lagos State Government declared a curfew on the state. The curfew notwithstanding, the protesters were adamant. This informed the military coming to disperse them.
