ENDSARS: Okowa Relaxes Curfew In Delta
Delta State Government has relaxed the 48 – hour curfew from 6 pm – 8 am.
News Rain Nigeria gathered that the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has on Saturday announced the relaxation of the earlier declared 48 – hour curfew to 6 pm – 8 am until further notice is issued on the development.
Recall that the 48-hour curfew was announced by the State Government on Thursday so as to curtail the menace of the hoodlums that had attacked several properties belonging to the State Government and some innocent individuals in the State.

Some hoodlums who were believed to have hijacked the protests had earlier this week attacked the Nigeria Correctional Service, located in Warri, the High Court Complex in Asaba, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) office situated also in Asaba.
All these series of destructions by the hoodlums must have resulted in Governor’s decisions on Thursday declaration of 48 – hour curfew.
Dr. Okowa shortly after the official inspection of the affected areas in the State on Saturday announced the relaxation of the curfew with effect from Saturday, 24, October 2020, until further notice is release on the development.
The Governor was accompanied to the affected areas by the State Commissioner for Police, CP. Hafiz Muhammad and also the Nigeria Army Commander of 63 Brigade, Asaba, Brig. Gen. Ibrahim Jallo, said “This morning, I received a comprehensive briefing on the security situation across Delta State from the three Service Commanders.
“Having analyzed the situation critically, I wish to thank all Deltans, particularly our youth, for complying with the curfew that was imposed two days ago.

“The current 48-hour curfew will expire by 6 pm today Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020.
“However, from this evening (Saturday), the curfew will be in effect from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. until further notice. From Sunday, Oct. 25, people are free to move around and go about their regular activities during the day.
“I urge all the citizens and residents of our great state, Delta, to please remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding at all times”. Okowa said.
