NSCDC arrested herders over illegal grazing in Akinyele local government.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Security and Civil  Defence Corps has on Tuesday disclosed that Agro Rangers Units of the Corps has dislodged some suspected herders in Akinyele local government parts of Oyo State.
Those herders according to a Press Release that was signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Corps, CD. Oluwole Olusegun stated that those suspects were arrested despite the Anti-grazing Laws put in place by the Oyo State Government in 2019 after many Cases of Herders and Farmers that Spread throughout the work and Crannies of the Country in the recent time.

According to the copy of the release that  was made available to News Rain Nigeria Correspondent in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital stated that the
Agro Ranger Team of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Oyo State Command on Sunday 25th October 2020 at around 0130hrs dislodge unknown herders at Aroro Kole along Igbo Oloyin in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The statement stressed that the arrest occurred after a distress call from the Community to the State Commander of the Agro Ranger.
The State Commandant of Corps, Corps Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya gave analysis about the arrest of the herders, said that Babangida Musa male, aged 21 was arrested after a serious search for the herders at the location where over 400Cows were seen grazing around the Community.
Commandant Iskilu also said that during the course of Investigation it was gathered that the leader of the herders one Yinusa 28 and Saidu 27 both based in Ogbomosho made it known that the Cows were just passing through to Oyo Town to link Ogbomosho.
The Items recovered from the Suspect include, according to the statement are Cutlass, Knife, Rope, and Bag.
Commandant Iskilu however, makes use of the medium to urge all parents, guardians, and friends of those involved in criminal Acts to warn their children and relations to the Line of Peace and Support the effort of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to bring Safety to the General Publics.
The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Corps Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya assured the people of Aroro Kole of their safety warn hoodlum causing Mayhem in Oyo to desist from such unscrupulous act as NSCDC and other sister agencies will deal with anyone caught tormenting trouble in the State.
