ENDSARS: I Carried Only Two Crates Of Trophy And Generator-Suspected Arsonist Laments

Nine suspected arsonists have been arrested in Ibadan.
News Rain Nigeria reports that Oyo State Police Command Headquarters Eleyele Ibadan on Wednesday paraded nine suspected arsonists over vandalism and looting that occurred aftermath of ENDSARS protests in Iseyin.

One of the suspected arsonists, looters paraded at the Oyo State Police Command Headquarters Eleyele Ibadan on Wednesday confirmed that he only carried two creates of trophy beers and a small generating set from the burnt Iseyin Police Station.

The suspect, Taoreed Hamsat also known as Shorlex, aged 26, was paraded alongside with other eight suspected arsonists maintained that he only carted away with just two creates of trophy lager beer and a small generating set.

Hamsat said, I joined the other protesters that were protesting, I saw them looting the station and I also joined and I was fortunate to have carried only two creates of trophy lager beer, and I didn’t even take them to my house, I dropped them right in front of the station and it was shared within the protesters who drank them and shattered the bottles.
“I also carried the small generating set which I found at the entrance of the station to my home, though, I later returned it to the mosque the following day, when the King ordered us to drop all the looted items back to either Mosque or Palace.
” I carried the generating set when I perceived that the youths were about to burn it along with the station, the wall clock was not among the stolen loots, I picked it from the entrance of the mosque. Hamsat said.
Speaking with journalists on the development, the State Commissioner of Police, CP. Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu confirmed that six policemen were gruesomely murdered during the aftermath of the ENDSARS protests.
He also noted that the police cannot ascertain the numbers of the Police officers that lost to the sad incident, he maintained that some hoodlums went to the extent of going to the houses of those officers purposely to get them killed.
CP. Nwachukwu stressed that the police are also father, mother of some people as well, he said, those Police that were killed also have families but decided to lay down their lives to secure members of the public.
CP. Nwachukwu maintained that those suspected arsonists and looters were arrested in Iseyin town, following a distress call that was received by the quick Intervention Unit of the Command, on Monday 26th, October 2020.
The police CP. gave the names of the suspected arsonist, looters as Taoreed Hamsat, a.k.a Shorlex, Tajudeen Ibrahim a.k.a Aji, Moshood Fatai, a.k.a Stainless, Sikiru Aliu a.k.a 1414, Fasasi Fatai a.k.a Lemon, Isiaka Olaniyan, Raheem Toheed, and Adeleke Akeem.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects are one  Bajaj Motorcycle, One small generating set, one Nino wall clock, one Hero 125 Motorcycle, and one TVS Motorcycle with the registration number DGB215QK.
The Commissioner of Police maintained that all the looted items were stolen from the Police station exhibit unit, he also noted that the arsonists burned the station alongside all the logistics vehicles in the station, including the armored vehicle.
He said, the hoodlums also looted the armory of the station before setting it on fire, he, however, called on the good people of the state to report anybody that seen with illegal firearms to the police to avoid further attack from the hoodlums.
