EndSARS Protests: Enugu Govt Suspends Curfew
Enugu State Government has lifted 13 – hour curfew in the state.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Enugu State Government has lifted the 13 – hour curfew that was imposed on Enugu East, North, and South Local Government Areas of the State.
The State Government on Monday through the statement by its Commissioner for Information, Mr. Nnayelugo Chidi Aroh, made known the State decision of lifting the imposed curfew.

Chidi Aroh through the statement maintained that the decision was considered after a thorough review of the overall situation in the three local government areas” and in furtherance of state government’s commitment to “total return of normalcy and sustained economic activity in the overall interest of Ndi Enugu”.
News Rain Nigeria recalled that the Enugu State Government during the heat of the aftermath of the ENDSARS protests, had announced the imposition of the 13 – hour curfew to curtail the activities of the hoodlums who have hijacked the peaceful protests by using the protests to unleash terror on the innocent individuals and government properties, in the State.
Chidi stressed that consequently normal social and economic activities will resume effective from 6am on Monday, November 2, 2020, without prejudice to all existing regulations put in place by the Federal Government as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The state commissioner for information however, call on the Ndi Enugu to go about their lawful social and economic activities, while remaining vigilant and law-abiding.
