News Rain Nigeria reports that the Second Republic Governor of Kaduna, who is also an Elders statesman, Alhaji Balarabe Musa is dead.
The demise of the foremost Nigerian Politician was announced in the early hours of today, Wednesday, 11th November 2020, through the Social media handle of the former Kaduna Senator, Sheu Sani.

Senator Sheu Sani confirmed the sad news through his tweeter handle which stated as thus, “Alhaji Balarabe Musa has died. May Allah forgive his souls and Grant him Aljanna Firdausi. Amin.”  The statement Concluded.
Until his death, Alhaji Balarabe Musa was the former Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), He was a well-known account clerk, and also a school teacher.
Alhaji Balarabe Musa was born in Kaduna on August 21st, 1936.
He studied at the Zaria middle school and the institute of Administration, Zaria, he is survived by a wife and Children.
He was gathered to have passed away this morning after a brief illness at the age of 84.
News Rain Nigeria gathered that his remains will be buried in accordance with the Islamic rights today in his home town Kaduna.

Recall that he was elected governor of the old Kaduna State in 1979 on the platform of the PRP, a party founded by late Mallam Aminu Kano. As governor, he was prevented from constituting a cabinet by the state house of assembly, dominated by the opposition National Party of Nigeria (NPN) members. Eventually, the House impeached him in June 1981, making him the first Nigerian state governor ever to be impeached.

The former governor stressed that political and economic restructuring of the country was key for progress “We need to restructure the country politically and economically. We need to ensure that power actually resides with the people. “The economic and political models we are currently operating only empower a few. Governments must be structured to impact positively on the masses,” he said
