Kano Ulamas has called for legislation ban of France products.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Kano State Coalition of Ulamas on Tuesday approached the State House of Assembly. demanded a law to be enacted to prohibit the State residents from making use of French goods and services across the country.
The leader of the group, Shiek Ibrahim Sheu, led other members of the group to the State House of Assembly to meet with the Speaker, RT. Hon. Hon. Abdul’ Azeez Garba Gafasa on how the State Assembly can enact a law to prohibit the State from using French products.
Ibrahim Sheu maintained that the decision of the Ulamas is in connection with blasphemous comments by France President, Emmanuel Macron to the holy prophet and Islam.
Similarly, in a press statement by the Press Secretary, Kano House of Assembly, Nura Bala Ajingi, stressed that the Muslims in the state expect the House to take an appropriate course of action over the matter.
According to Nura Bala who maintained that the Kano coalition of Ulamas has unanimously kicked against blasphemous comments to the holy prophet and Islam made by France President Emmanuel Macron, noted that the leader of the organization Sheikh Ibrahim Shehu Maihula stated this while visiting Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abdul’azeez Garba Gafasa today at Kano legislative house.
However, the Kano State House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Abdul’azeez Garba Gafasa in his response to the matter stressed that the house has received the letter and will do everything possible to protect the divine, honorable dignity of the exalted, holy prophet and Islam at large.
The Speaker maintained that the 40 members in the present parliament representing the entirety of Muslims, which are ready for ensuring that Islam will increasingly become an untouchable fortress in the Muslim community not in Nigeria, but globally.
Meanwhile, the Kano Ulamas in a strong emotion present their ill-feelings on behalf of the entire Muslims in the state and wait for the resolution on the issue to the House, called for an appropriate course of action over their demands.
Ulamas in a letter presentation, signed by the union leaders, one of the official Sheirk Ibrahim Mu’azzam Maibushira called on House members to establish a law that will ban the use of all French products and their services to demonstrate to Kano Muslims reaction to these unbecoming utterances.
