Oyo State has finally taken over the sole responsibility of LAUTECH Ogbomoso.
News Rain Nigeria reports that the Oyo State Government, under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde has finally gained full ownership of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.
News Rain Nigeria gathered that the National Universities Commission (NUC) on Friday 20th November 2020 ceded the joint ownership of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH Ogbomoso between the Oyo State and Osun State, to the Oyo State Government.
The development now led to Osun state Government is taken over the College of Health Sciences in Osogbo.
According to the resolution followed the lingering ownership of LAUTECH over the years.
The Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission Professor Abubakar Rasheed stated this at a media briefing in Abuja, stressing that both Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Adegboyega Oyetola signed a memorandum of Agreement to the development.
Prof. Rasheed, however, maintained that the latest arrangement between the two states will restore peace back to the institution.
