Breaking: Makinde Present N266.6b Fiscal Budget For 2021

Governor Makinde has presented the sum of N266.6b budget estimated for the year 2021.

 

News Rain Nigeria reports that the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on Monday, 23rd November 2021 presented the Budget of Continued Consolidation of N266.644. 273. 305. 04b.

Engr. Makinde at the floor of the State House of Assembly during the presentation of the budget stressed that the budget will meet the expectation of the people of the State.

Speaking at the budget presentation which according to Governor Makinde is titled “Budget of Continued Consolidation” noted that the state has made significant progress in its drive across all sectors.

Makinde, while highlighting the budget stressed that several successes recorded in the current fiscal year added that the state government remains bullish in its approach towards consolidating on its achievements to achieve greater results in the performance of the 2021 budget.

 

Makinde said the budget Is N12bn Naira above the last budget, he maintained that the recurrent expenditure is N136, 262,990 while the capital expenditure is N130, 381, noted that N56b348m which represents 21percent of the budget is allocated for education.

 

Makinde maintained that sequel to the projected 70 percent budget performance in the 2020 budget, the state has however been able to perform fairly above the average of 53.16 percent noting that the difference in the projected budget performance level and the recorded performance level was due largely to the novel COVID-19 pandemic.

Makinde commended the lawmakers for their supports and promised continuous collaboration with the lawmakers.
