APC Dissolves Party’s Structures Nationwide

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissolved all state zonal and national structures of the party.

News Rain Nigeria gathered that on Tuesday, the National Chairman of the party’s Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, led other members of the party’s NEC, including President Muhammadu Buhari, into an emergency meeting at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja, where the party structures were dissolved.

It is also gathered that the NEC reappointed them in acting capacity, while it extended the tenure of the National caretaker committee by six months.

The new development was reportedly confirmed by the spokesperson of the National Caretaker Committee of the APC, Yekini Nabena, in a telephone interview with journalists.

Recalled that the ruling party, last month scheduled the meeting, to review its position and deliberate on its next line of action as it concerns its national leadership.

In attendance at the meeting were the Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan; Speaker of the House of Representatives as well as governors of the party, led by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and governor of Yobe State, Atiku Bagudu.
