Police has confirmed the abduction of two foreigners in Ibadan.

 

News Rain Nigeria reports that Oyo State Police Command under the able watch of the State Commissioner of Police, CP. Joe Nwachukwu Enwonwu has confirmed the abduction of two foreigners in Ibadan.

The two foreigners whom their identities are not yet known were said to have been kidnapped on Wednesday at around 4pm at a pharmaceutical firm, very close to Lagos-Ibadan Federal Highway, Toll Gate Ibadan the State Capital.

News Rain Nigeria further gathered that the foreigners were kidnapped while driving out of the pharmaceutical firm premises of that said day.

The kidnappers were said to have  opened fire on their vehicle which grounded to a halt when the tyres went flat, the two foreigners were said to have been robbed of their cash and other personal effects before they were whisked away to an unknown destination by their abductors.

As of the time of filing this report, the kidnappers had yet to contact the relations of their victims.

Reacting to the development, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident, saying the Police were on the trail of the criminals, saying the perpetrators will not go unpunished.
