Raise Your Children In A Godly Manner-Mrs Makinde Laments

Mrs Makinde, Oyo State First Lady, has urged parents to raise their children in Godly ways.

News Rain Nigeria reports that the Oyo State First Lady, Mrs Tanminominini Makinde has charged parents and guidance to make sure they raised their children and wards in a Godly ways.

Mrs. Makinde maintained that a child that is raised in a Godly way will become an outstanding and God fearing leader in the future.

She said, “I called on you to continue to raise the children in a Godly manner so that they can become outstanding citizen in future.

Mrs. Makinde who gave the charge on Sunday during the Christmas Carol Party that was held at the Agodi Garden Ibadan the State Capital, maintained that  Christmas and New year festive season is a time that reminds us of God’s love for all mankind.

The State first lady who was represented at the event by of the State Commissioner for Special Duty, Mrs. Funmilayo Orisadeyi charged all the parents in attendance to always be generous and kind to their neighbors most especially during this Christmas season, noting that Christmas is a period to give to people.

She stressed that parents should not be selfish in sharing whatever they have with their neighbors, maintaining that this season reminds us of Gods love for us, that is why we come here together to share the joy of this Christmas season.

She said, “I commend parents and guidance for taking good care of the children, saying that their support and kindness for the kids are highly commendable and appreciated.

“I therefore called on you to continue to raise the children in a Godly manner so that the children can become upstanding citizen in future.

The highlights of the event also featured dancing competition among the children, quiz and sharing moments with the State Santa Claus and gift sharing for the children.

Earlier in her opening remarks, the the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion who was represented by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Christiana Adeoye commend Mrs. Makinde for always  taking care of women and children in the State.

She also commend Governor Makinde for supporting the program, maintaining that the Governor has touched positively many lives in the state since his assumption of office as the State Governor.

The 2020 Christmas Carol Party event had in attendance the Commissioner for Special Duty, Mrs. Funmilayo Orisadeyi, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Diaspora Matter, Mrs. Bolanle Sarunmi Aliyu, Commisssioner for Women and Social Inclusion Alhaja Faosat Sanni, parents and children and some Directors from the ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion among others.
