Yuletide: Criminals Planning To Bomb Public Facilities— DSS Raises Alarm

Nigerians have been warned over plans by criminals to bomb some places.

 

News Rain Nigeria gathered that the Department of State Service (DSS), has on Tuesday alerted Nigerians over plans by some unknown suspected hoodlums to bomb some places during yuletide.

Criminals Planning To Bomb Public Facilities

The criminals elements according to DSS are targeting public places and vulnerable points during the yuletide season.

The development was conveyed through a statement issued and signed by the DSS spokesperson, Mr. Peter Afunanya in Abuja.

Mr. Peter according to the statement said, “The planned acts are to be executed through the use of explosives, suicide bombing and other dangerous weapons.

“The objective is to create a general sense of fear among the people and subsequently undermine the Government.”

Mr. Peter however  assured citizens and residents of their safety during and after the festive periods, maintaining that the Director General of DSS, Alhaji YM. Bichi,  with his Management and Staff, wished all, Happy Celebrations and a Prosperous 2021.

He stressed further that against this backdrop, the DSS urged citizens to be extra vigilant and report strange movements and indeed, all suspicions around them to security and law enforcement agencies.

Also, he stated that they is collaborating with other sister agencies to ensure that adequate measures are put in place for protection of lives and property.

However, he advised those planning to cause chaos and damage to public peace to desist from such as as they will stop until the criminals are apprehended and brought to justice.
