The Former Deputy Governor, paid hospital bills of  11 patients, with not not less than N2million and were discharged, meaning that they were free from hospital to reunite with their loved ones.

Sen. Omisore while speaking at the hospital during the visit said: ”I’m doing this for those who are hospitalized and are certified fit to go home but cannot because they have bills to settle”.

Speaking further, Omisore said that nobody wished to be in the hospital bed on a glorious day like the beginning of the year.

”You can imagine, these people also have loved ones to be at home with, enjoying rice, pounded yam, meat, chicken, fish and gush it down with drinks but they cannot because of the bills they have to settle, noting that he had to show love, affection, and empathy to them.

He stressed that, “I want to appreciate the management of this world-class hospital for their service to humanity, as diverse people across the country are receiving healthcare from the facility.

Reacting to the Senator Omisore gesture, the Chief Medical Director (CMD), of OAUTH, Prof. Victor Adetiloye, commended Omisore’s gesture of coming to the aid of the patients on annual basis.

Prof. Adetiloye maintained that the entire hospital community was always happy with the philanthropy manner of the former Senate Committee Chairman on Appropriation.

“He is not doing this for ego boosting, as we have many other affluent persons in the community who can do same. Rather, he is doing so for humanity and based on compassion,”

The CMD stressed that Senator Omisore facilitated the construction of some of the modern buildings we have in this hospital.
