UPDATE: “We Paid No Ransom For Release Of My Sister – Oyo Lawmaker Explains

Oyo lawmaker has revealed how her sister was released from captive den without money.

 

News Rain Nigeria gathered that the sister of one of the Oyo State House of Assembly member, Jumoke Babalola- Oludele has regained freedom from the captive den.

Recall that Jumoke Babalola – Oludele who is a sister  to Honorable Sunkanmi Babalola, a  member of Oyo State House of Assembly was some weeks ago reportedly kidnapped by three gunmen  at Monatan area of Ibadan while coming from her shop.

“We Paid No Ransom For Release Of My Sister 

It was also gathered that the victim was kidnapped precisely on Monday, 21st December last year and the kidnappers were demanding N20m ransom before her release.

Jumoke abduction was also confirmed by the  State Police command, through a press release by the State Police Public Relation Officer, SP. Olugbenga Fadeyi.

Jumoke’s freedom from the captive den was confirmed at early hours of Saturday through  her brother, Hon. Sunkanmi Babalola.

Hon. Babalola who is currently representing the people of Egbeda State constituency at the State House of Assembly, briefed journalists about the freedom of her abducted sister, maintaining that no ransom was paid before her release.

Hon. Sunkanmi said, “I want to inform you that she has been freed.

“Jumoke has regained her freedom this morning around 6am. But, no ransom was paid”. Sunkanmi said.
