Seven people have reportedly died due to an Amotekun, herdsmen clash.
News Rain Nigeria gathered that no fewer than seven people have allegedly lost their life in a clash between the Amotekun corps and Fulani herdsmen in Aiyete of Ibarapa area of Oyo State.
The clash which according to a close source started on Saturday morning in Okebi Village of Aiyete town under Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, while the main causes of the whole issue remains sketchy as at the time of filling this report.
News Rain Nigeria further gathered through our source who pleaded anonymous said one Alhaji Usman Okebi and his two sons were killed.
“The number of people killed has increased to seven. Those who were shot and ran away later died in the bush”, not less than seven houses have been razed down to the incident. Our source disclosed.
According to him, “One Alhaji Usman Okebi and his two sons were killed. We do not know what caused the fight. Some persons were shot and others are injured.

News Rain Nigeria through another eyewitness account who pleaded anonymous, explained that the clash was between the Amotekun Corps and Bororo people, stressing that some persons were killed but could not say which side suffered heavier casualties.
The state Commandant of Amotekun Col. Olayinka Olayanju (rtd), while responding to the matter by some journalists in the State could not give details of what really happened, but said; “I heard the same thing but I am on my way there now to ascertain what happened”.
While reacting to the sad occurrence, the State Police Public Relation Officer, CSP. Olugbenga Fadeyi, said the DPO Ayete has moved immediately to the scene of the incident shortly as he received the information about the whole situation.
CSP Fadeyi through a short message stated his reaction over the matter, maintaining that “When the DPO of Ayete got wind of the incident, he moved in swiftly to ascertain the cause of the attack.
“In his report, three persons has died and two injured. He has since commence investigation and further development will unfold soonest, pls.” Fadeyi stated.
