Breaking: Service Chiefs Resign, President Buhari names Replacements (See List)
Buhari has announced the appointment of new service chiefs following the resignation of their predecessors.
News Rain Nigeria gathered that President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, January 26, announced the appointment of new service chiefs following the resignation of their predecessors.
The Nigerian leader in a tweet via his official Twitter handle noted that he has accepted the immediate resignation of the service chiefs and their retirement from service.

Those involved are;
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin
Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai
Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas
Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.
According to reports, the appointments were conveyed in a statement signed by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina. The president went on to thank the outgoing service chiefs for their overwhelming achievements in efforts to bring enduring peace to the country and wished them well in future endeavours.
Below are lists of new service chiefs;
1. Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff
2. Major-General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff
3. Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff
4. Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff.
While congratulating the new service chiefs, Buhari urged them to be loyal and dedicated in the discharge of their responsibilities.
