The Junior brother to Former Military Vice President Admiral Aikhomu is dead.

 

 

News Rain Nigeria gathered that Admiral Joe Aikhomu,  younger brother of former military Vice- President,  Admiral Augustus Aikhomu (rtd) has been reported dead of Covid-19 complications in the early hours of Thursday.

The passage of Amiral Joe Aikhomu was made known through a credible source who maintained that the deceased passed on at the early hours of today, Thursday 24th February 2021 in Abuja as a result of Covid-19 complications.

A credible source said the late Aikhomu who retired as the Chief of Administration of the Nigerian Navy died in Abuja in the early hours of Thursday morning as a result of COVID-19 complications.

Late Admiral Joe Aikhomu retired from Nigerian Navy as  Chief of Administration Officer, who was serially decorated especially in maritime operations and logistics.

Admiral Aihkomu had special reference to the water of the Gulf of Guinea, and was until his death a Director in Ocean Marine Solutions (OMS) owned by Captain Hosa Okunbo,

A serially-decorated Admiral well-versed in maritime operations and logistics, with special reference to the waters of the Gulf of Guinea, Aikhomu, who clocked 65 last year was until his death a Director in Ocean Marine Solutions (OMS) owned by Captain Hosa Okunbo.

Late Aihkomu was a member of the investigative panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to probe arms procurement between 2007 and 2015 through the panel was disbanded in February 2017.

Admiral Joe Aikhomu until his death was a traditional Chief title older, with conferments of Okaijesa of Esanland, and Ojirura of Irrua.

Joe Aikhomu is survived by his wife and children and will be sorely missed by his immediate family and friends.

Aikhomu was described by his immediate family as a loving and caring father. He has however been described as an elder statesman per excellent through heartfelt condolences messages by his friends.
