JAMB Has Revealed Deadline For 2020 Admission Into Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics.
News Rain Nigeria reports that prospective candidates seeking to gain entrance into Nigerian tertiary institutions are expected to complete their admission process on or before June 15, 2021.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) made the announcement in a statement on Sunday morning, February 28, Premium Times reported.
The exam body said the deadline was agreed on after a virtual meeting with heads of tertiary institutions in the country on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Final year students of Agidinbi Senior Grammar School, Ikeja, Lagos.
The statement read in part: “After a robust and insightful deliberation, members collectively agreed that all public universities are expected to finish their admissions on or before 15th May 2021, while the private universities and all IEIs, polytechnics, and COEs would complete theirs at the agreed date of 15th June 2021.”
JAMB registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede said the meeting with the institutions was aimed at knowing the level they had reached on the 2020/21 admissions scale.
He urged all tertiary institutions to adhere to the deadline, warning that JAMB would not tolerate any breaches of the set date.
