Kwara CDHR Condemns Molestation And Gender-Based Violence
All attempts by the organization to reach the victims prove abortive.
This incident is bad and condemnable. It is a typical case of gender-based violence and child molestation as well as an abuse of privilege which need to be investigated.
CDHR however, calls on appropriate authority to rise up to this challenge, investigate whatever issues surrounding these molestations and appropriate sanctions and checks be put in place.
The Kwara state government, the Nigerian Police Kwara state Command, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other relevant agencies should rise up against these inhuman treatments to prevent such abuses in future.
In addition, the Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development and Kwara Board of Arabic Education should investigate, sanitise and sanction the Arabic school appropriately
CDHR remains the foremost human rights group in the state and we are committed to the course.
