The Anambra-born club owner made this known in an Instagram post on Monday.
News Rain Nigeria learned that the clubber died over the weekend but the circumstances of the death could not be ascertained as of press time.
An Instagram statement posted simultaneously by Cubana and his club, Hustle & Bustle, read, “We are closed till further notice. This is due to the loss of our esteemed client.
“We are deeply saddened by this situation and need time to heal from it. Our prayers are with the family of the lost soul. May her soul Rest In Peace. We sympathise with the family on this unbearable loss.
“Kindly bear with us as we pass through this storm.”
News Rain Nigeria also recalls that Cubana was recently detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for three days over alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
He was, however, released on administrative bail but The PUNCH gathered that he might be required to visit the EFCC headquarters from time to time until the conclusion of the investigation.
Cubana became a social media sensation and the rave of the moment in July after the ‘naira rain’ at the burial of his mother in Oba, a town in the Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Several videos went viral that show celebrities, business people, and politicians spraying money indiscriminately during a concert held after the interment of the deceased.
Scores of cows were also reportedly slaughtered at the event which many had described as ostentatious.
