Biafra: Federal High Court Takes Fresh Decision On Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial

Biafra activist Nnamdi Kanu’s trial is set to take a new dimension.

Justice John Tsoho, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, has hinted on changing the venue for the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Terrorism charge: Court to deliver ruling in Nnamdi Kanu’s case April 8

Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court Abuja, has fixed April 8 for ruling on a preliminary objection filed by the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, challenging the validity of the 15 amended charges filed against him by the Federal Government. Justice Nyako fixed the date after counsel for Kanu, Mike Ozekhome (SAN) as well as prosecution counsel, Shuaibu Labaran, had adopted arguments for and against the defendant’s preliminary objection.

Kenya Files Court Papers Showing There Was No Official Record Nnamdi Kanu Left East African Country For Nigeria

Court papers filed by the Kenyan Attorney-General have shown that the repatriation of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria was illegal.
This was disclosed by a brother to the detained IPOB leader, Kanunta Kanu, according to a statement issued by Aloy Ejimakor, Kanu’s special counsel.

A 27-year old suspect, Chikwudi Emerenin, has revealed they killed a retired police officer, Chris Kpatuma in Agwa clan, Oguta Local Government Area, Imo state because they saw him as a threat to their Biafra struggle. The suspect was arrested by police operatives in Delta State.

Biafra: Fresh ‘evidence’ emerges in Nnamdi Kanu’s case

Prince Kanu Meme, one of the siblings of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Wednesday said there is “fresh evidence” in the trial of the agitator. Meme claimed that Kanu “is still technically in Kenya from the new evidence.”

FACT CHECK: Did Obasanjo say Nnamdi Kanu will get Biafra?

On February 10, Daily Times Nigeria posted a statement which it attributed to former President Olusegun Obasanjo saying Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), would get Biafra.

“With what I saw at UK Parliament, I can boldly say that Nnamdi Kanu has gotten Biafra,” the statement read. The post, which was published on the verified Facebook and Twitter platforms of the news media, quoted African Voice Television as its source.

Biafra: Why we denied Nnamdi Kanu change of clothes – DSS to court

The Department of State Services, DSS, has disclosed why it refused Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, from changing his clothes. DSS Director of Legal Services, whose name was not mentioned, told Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja High Court that Kanu was denied a change of clothes because of the insignia on the items of clothing.
