ollywood star actress, Rita Dominic was welcomed in grand style by her husband’s family into the Anosike home, in Umeri, Anambra State.

According to reports, the Anosike family has a tradition that requires the newly wedded wife to be officially welcomed into her husband’s home.

In a trending video online, Rita Dominic could be seen dancing in a black dress while surrounded and hailed by elderly women in native attire.

Rita Dominic was welcomed into her new home by a group of women who sang in the local dialect.

The welcoming ceremony for Rita Dominic followed her wedding to Fidelis Anosike in Aboh Mbaise Owerri Imo State on Tuesday, April 19, which was witnessed by some of the leading stars in the entertainment sector.

The star-studded ceremony had the likes of Chidi Mokeme, Kate Henshaw, Joke Silva, Ini Edo, and many others.

Nigerians while celebrating Rita’s marriage, queried the absence of some Nollywood stars like Genevieve Nnaji, RMD, and Mercy Johnson.

RMD, took to his Instagram page on Friday revealing why he was absent at the wedding.

He noted that he would have loved to grace the ‘epic event’.

His post read: “Congratulations my beautiful Riri @ritadominic. I would have loved to grace this epic event but I’m far far away.

“Here is a toast to your beautiful union. God bless your marriage.”
