N25bn Fraud: EFCC Grills Eno Ubi-Otu NDDC’s Director

The Director of Finance and Accounts of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Mr. Eno Ubi-Otu, was on Wednesday arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday.

A competent source within the commission, who did not want his name in print because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, confirmed the development to our correspondent.

Otu was said to have arrived at the headquarters of the commission in the morning on Wednesday but was still being grilled by the anti-graft agency as of 8.45 pm.

News Rain Nigeria gathered that he was being grilled in relation to a case of alleged diversion of over N25bn tax remittances.

According to report, the spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, could not be reached on the telephone for details of the arrest as of the time of filing this report.
