‘’You Have No Plans For Us’’ – Taraba Youths Blasts APC Gov Candidate, Sen Emmanuel Bwacha

By Oluwatosin Alex

Youths in Taraba state have blasted the governorship candidate of the APC, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha for trying to sell his candidature to them despite ignoring them for many years.

The APC candidate was met with strong resistance during his outing to meet some youth leaders in the state a few days ago. He had proposed to penetrate the youths through their leaders but all plans to make it happen failed.

According to information at our disposal, Emmanuel Bwacha offered the youth leaders a huge sum of N100 Million to help him mobilize their members for the governorship election in the state. He also promised them different appointments in his cabinet if they help him win the election.

‘’You Have No Plans For Us’’ – Taraba Youths Blasts APC Gov Candidate, Sen Emmanuel Bwacha

As juicy as his offers were, the leaders rejected it, citing his disregard for the youths as reasons despite being a serving senator representing Taraba South.

‘’ We appreciate your offer and we thank you for your thoughtfulness but unfortunately, we won’t be able to accept them because of what we represent. We have gotten to a stage in the country and in this state where we want to hold our leaders accountable, we can’t afford being used by them to win elections and being dumped after victory, the youths are more important than that.’’

‘’You have been a serving senator for a while now but what have the youths benefited in your constituency as a result of your position? How many jobs have you created for them? What good have you done that can make the youths support you for this election? Absolutely nothing. How then should we support someone who never cared about us? It is not possible.’’

‘’ We have sat down to analyze the candidates for this election but sadly, you scored less than every other candidate. You have no plans for the youths and this offer will not be allowed to make us forget the past’’.

The election will be held on Saturday, 18th Of March 2023.
