The body of Nollywood actor, Mr Ibu has been transported from Lagos to his hometown in Enugu ahead of the burial.
His two sons, Daniel and Valentine Okafor were present with his wife Stella.
Stella was spotted dressed in all black as she watched her husband’s body being moved away amid tears.
Mr Ibu whose real name is John Okafor, died on Saturday at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State after a protracted battle with illness.
The 63-year-old battled health issues that led to multiple surgeries and the amputation of his leg.
According to the national president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Emeka Rollas, Ibu’s manager Don Single Nwuzor told him that the actor suffered cardiac arrest before he passed on.
“Mr lbu suffered cardiac arrest according to his manager for 24 years Mr Don Single Nwuzor. I announce with a deep sense of grief that Mr Ibu didn’t make it. May his soul rest in peace,” he said in an Instagram post on Saturday.
Mr Ibu is from Umunekwu in Nkanu West LGA, Enugu State.
