ICYMI: Tottenham Suspend Popular Footballer After Posting Laughing Gas Video

Tottenham have suspended Yves Bissouma for their Premier League game at Leicester City on Monday after footage appeared to show the midfielder inhaling laughing gas.

He posted a video of himself on social media which showed him inhaling from a balloon.

We’ve suspended him from Monday’s game,” said Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou.

Yves Bissouma apologized for his actions, citing a “severe lack of judgement.”

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou expressed disappointment and emphasized the need for Bissouma to rebuild trust with the team and himself.

Postecoglou acknowledged that Bissouma made a poor decision, but also emphasized the importance of rehabilitation and redemption.

The suspension is a response to Bissouma’s actions, which are seen as a failure of his responsibilities as a professional footballer.

Meanwhile, recall that possession of nitrous oxide also known as laughing gas or NOS for recreational use has been a criminal offence in the United Kingdom since 2023 and can result in a two-year prison sentence.
