30,000 Anambra Youths Impacted By Soludo’s Digital Programme

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s administration has shown a strong commitment to improving the economic development of Anambra youths through the digital training of the Solution Innovation District (SID), with over 30,000 youth beneficiaries.

The governor’s efforts in ensuring the attainment of these goals were demonstrated with the ‘One-Youth-Two-Skill programme, Code Anambra, a training scheme for skills acquisition, and the ‘One Million Digital Tribe’ for digital training, where graduates of the various schemes were rewarded with laptops and employment opportunities.

At a recent programme on ‘Voices of Ndi Anambra,’ beneficiaries shared their testimonies of being trained and empowered in digital skills and ready to export their talents globally.

Dibor Mary-Ann, one of the beneficiaries, was trained in Digital Marketing and SEO and has been offered a job at the Ministry of Industries.

She said she was surprised when called upon for a free training scheme that would have cost her N3 million and was also given a laptop.

According to her, she started the training in 2023 and was taught the fundamentals of Digital Marketing and Seo, and how to make money with it, stating that it was a wonderful experience.

Where would I have gotten that sum of money? That was a lot for an average Nigerian student.

After the training, I was employed by the Ministry of Industries.

“That was my dream job, and the governor allowed me not to stress myself after leaving school to search for a job,” she said.

Emmanuel Ekwuya, an undergraduate, said, “Before, I was running an eight-week scheme as a tech person, and I was being taught business structure and how to start something the whole world can benefit from.”

I commend Governor Soludo for putting the facilities in place for the digital training. What he is doing is great; he is shaping us and the Anambra tech ecosystem.

The knowledge has helped a lot, as it is very difficult to operate in a business environment with tech skills,” Ekwuya affirmed.

He added, “I thank the governor for getting every touch point of the training settled. I appreciate Mr. Governor for the empowerment initiative; what he is doing is very good.”

Similarly, Uchechukwu Ebonam and Ofona Akansi both applauded Governor Soludo for the SID empowerment initiatives, which have led to the technological advancement of Anambra youths.

According to the State’s Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, Governor Soludo’s adoption of the digital transformation of Anambra youth is in line with his human capital development strategy, which is already yielding positive results.
