Arsenal have made a decision on Mikel Arteta’s future following their exit from the Champions League.
According to report, Daily Mail, via SPORTbible, reports that the Gunners hierarchy will not sack Arteta despite the side’s disappointing season.
Recall that Mikel Arteta watched his side as they fell 2-1 to PSG at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday, and culminated in a 3-1 aggregate.
Goals from Fabian Ruiz (27′) and Achraf Hakimi (72′) put the Parisians in a comfortable position before Bukayo Saka salvaged a goal for his side late on in the game (76′).
The outcome of the fixture means the Gunners would end the season without a trophy.
Arsenal have already lost the English Premier League title to Liverpool.
Arteta joined the Gunners in 2019 but has not been able to lead them to a major silverware since the 2019-20 season when they defeated Chelsea 2-1 to lift the FA Cup.
The Gunners have since then won two Community Shields, but have fallen short of landing the big laurels.
Meanwhile, Daily Mail reports that the club board has no plans to sack the Spaniard anytime soon.
