VIDEO: Nigerian Soldiers ‘Force’ Driver To Swim Inside Muddy Water For Splashing Water On Them

Nigerian soldiers in Nsukka, Enugu State, allegedly punished a driver by forcing him to swim inside dirty roadside water after he reportedly splashed them with water by mistake.

The footage, shared widely on X (formerly Twitter), captures the tense moment as uniformed soldiers stand over the man, ordering him into the muddy water.

The driver, visibly uncomfortable, obeys as onlookers record the incident.

According to eyewitness accounts, the confrontation began when the driver unknowingly drove through a water-filled pothole, splashing nearby soldiers.

Instead of resolving the matter calmly, the soldiers allegedly resorted to public humiliation.

The video has triggered a wave of condemnation from Nigerians, with many describing the soldiers’ actions as “unjust,” “petty,” and an “abuse of authority.”

Critics also argue that such behavior undermines public trust in the military, while others are calling for disciplinary action against those involved.

As of the time of this report, the Nigerian Army and Enugu State security agencies have yet to comment on the incident.
