BAFI Awards: LAPO MFB Wins Microfinance Bank of The Year
LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited, a premium microfinance institution in Nigeria, has won the “Microfinance Bank of the Year” 2025, Businessday Banks’ and other Financial Institutions’ (BAFI) Awards.
According to reports, LAPO has won this award category for the 12th consecutive time, a reflection of the bank’s consistency, resilience, and innovativeness in the microfinance sub-sector
Speaking at the event, Oluremi Akande, Director, Marketing & Communications, LAPO Microfinance Bank, says

Furthermore, Akande reiterates that LAPO MFB operates through a network of over 500 branches located across 34 states, including the FCT.
Commulatively has disbursed over 1.7trn in microloans to MSMEs. Beyond Credit employs over 6,000 Nigerian youths, provides scholarships to over 5,000 beneficiaries, and remains committed to leading the advocacy for environmental and social causes most sustainably.
