Family of late actress, Tope Osoba have postponed her burial ceremony.

NewsRain Nigeria reports that the family of the late actress, Tope Osoba, has announced that her burial ceremony has been postponed until further notice.

‎In a public statement, her family explained that the postponement is to allow for further arrangements and necessary conclusions.

Her family requests the public’s understanding, patience, prayers, and continued support.

They assured the public that a new burial date and venue will be communicated officially.

‎With deep sadness, the family of Tope Osoba wishes to inform friends, colleagues, fans, and well-wishers that the burial ceremony has been postponed until further notice.

Recall that on Wednesday, August 5th, the sad news of her death was announced.

The cause of her death remains unknown, as reports claimed that she died while en route to the hospital.

Setting the record straight on her death, Alesh Sanni made it known that she didn’t die of cancer.

He admonished the public to allow her people to grieve and post how they choose to.

While speaking at the late actress’ candlelight service, Foluke Daramola said Tope didn’t die of breast cancer, as the lump had been removed.

Foluke added that what caused her death was something different, and an investigation is ongoing.

Following her demise, several controversies have trailed her death.

Her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, alleged that the actress died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

He also dismissed several allegations surrounding the actress’ final days, including claims that she was poisoned and maltreated before her death.

Shortly before she passed away, Temitope had dropped a voice note saying one Prophetess Kehinde Osoba should come and carry her dead body so she can be given a befitting burial.

Yomi Fabiyi, in a press release, had called for the postponement of Temitope’s burial following the controversies surrounding her death.

He noted that the actress left marks and traces that warrant investigation, and that one shouldn’t be in a hurry to bury her.

Also, recall that last year, Temitope, in an interview on Oyinmomo TV, opened up on her battle with cancer, revealing that doctors told her she wouldn’t be able to conceive for the next 5 years because of the medications she had to take.

Temitope said hearing that broke her down as she noted how she was 38 and had to wait till her 40s before conceiving.

The burial was initially planned for tomorrow in Ogun State.
