Enugu: Police Deny Attack On SARS Police Station
Nigeria Police Force denied reports of gunmen attack.
News Rain Nigeria reports that Nigeria Police Force, Enugu State Command has debunked reports of gunmen attack on SARS Police Station in the State.
Enugu Police Command, through a statement which was released to the effect from the Office of the State Police Public Relation Officer, Daniel Ndukwe stated that contrary to some reports been in circulation in some media that SARS Police Station in Enugu was attacked by unknown gunmen thereby leading to the killing of six of its personnel, is nothing but a lie.

Part of their statement which stated as thus, ” attention of the Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to a baseless and malicious falsehood making the rounds on social media that “gunmen on Tuesday morning attacked SARS Police Station in Enugu; killed six (6) of their Men, many of them sustained bullets injury and the Station set on fire.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP. Ahmad Abdur Rahman has also through the statement reacted to the rumors by saying that the general public, particularly residents of the State, to completely disregard such unfounded, baseless and malicious falsehood being peddled by disgruntled and mischief-makers, as such did not happen in SARS Office or anywhere in the State.
The CP. has with immediate effect gave directives on a discreet investigation to unravel those behind the act.
He, however, urged the State citizens and residents to go about with their lawful business as the Command will provide adequate security of lives and properties.
