A Nigerian mother has been applauded on social media for having her son arrested without bail for the weekend after he raised his hands against his wife.

The story was shared on the microblogging platform X by user @_tolulope__, the woman’s nephew.

He admired his aunt for standing up to her son’s domestic violence against his wife.

The young man also stated that, in addition to arresting him, his aunt took his cousin’s wife into her home to care for her injuries from the beating.

Many Netizens appreciated the mother’s actions, particularly her refusal to cover up the matter and instead taking a firm stance against the behavior.
