NewsRain Nigeria reports that social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has given a new perspective to the ongoing rape saga after Mirabel confessed that her claims of sexual assault were entirely fabricated.

In a recorded video conversation that is going viral on social media, VDM moved from activist to investigator, relayed the phone conversation that happened between him and Mirable, giving details of how he questioned the young woman until the truth surfaced: the “rape” never happened.

The breakthrough occurred when VeryDarkMan began questioning the consistency of Mirabel’s story.

Suspecting that substance use might be clouding her memory, he questioned her about her habits. Mirabel admitted to consuming codeine mixed with Sprite, a combination known to cause severe hallucinations.

“You need to think very well so you don’t put yourself in deeper troubles,” VDM warned her. “Codeine and alcohol can make you hallucinate… There is a possibility you used your own hands to cut yourself.”

After the lengthy private follow-up call, the weight of the truth finally broke through. Mirabel made several startling admissions to VDM:

One was that the assault was fabricated. When asked point-blank if the story of the rape was true, Mirabel replied, “Yes, sir [it is not true].”

She confessed that she suffers from panic attacks and frequently cuts herself as a way to “be fine,” explaining the physical injuries she had previously used as “evidence.”

Mirabel admitted to creating a separate social media account herself to spread the false story and gain traction.

The most chilling aspect of the confession is the existence of the unnamed man Mirabel had accused. While she had not yet publicly named him to the world, the machinery for his social destruction was already in motion.

In the recording, VDM pressed her on other personal details, including her sexuality and habits, painting a picture of a deeply troubled individual. Mirabel confirmed she is a lesbian and struggles with various psychological triggers.
