Buhari Describes Late Atta Igala As A Man Of Peace
President Muhammadu Buhari has on Sunday commiserated with the family and friends and the entire people of Igala over the demise of late Idakwo Micheal Oboni II the Attah Igala, who passed away on Thursday, at the age of 72.
President Buhari, who sent his condolences message through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Sheu, described the late Atta Igala as a Monarch who is known for peace.

The condolence statement stated further as thus “The late Oboni II devoted his life and reign to the unity and progress of his people, Kogi and Nigeria as a whole.
“Attah Igala is a man of peace, he will be greatly missed for his wise counsel and reputation for honesty.
President Buhari through the message urged the people of Igala to sustain the achievements of the late king during his lifetime.

Buhari however, prayed for the family of the deceased. He said ” I pray to God to console the family of the deceased, and grant his soul eternal rest.
Recall, that the news of the demise was officially made known to the public through his first Son, Prince Ocholi Idakwo, who on Saturday engaged the pressmen in his father’s palace at Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Prince Ocholi in a press conference declared that his father late Idakwo Micheal Oboni II, has passed away, he also affirmed that his father died on 27th, August 2020.

NewsRain, gathered that the Monarch died in an Abuja hospital on Thursday some hours after he underwent a pile operation. We also gathered from a reliable source that his body has been moved into another Abuja Hospital for embalming.
The late Attah Igala ascended the throne in the year 2012, succeed Aliyu Obaje who was reported to have ruled for 56 years on the throne, he was installed in 1956.
