Police have the debunked rumor of kidnappers den at Oko Oba.

News Rain reports that Oyo State Police Command has disregarded the rumor of kidnappers’ den at Oko Oba area of Oyo East Local Government part of the State, through a Press Release that was issued to the effect.

What Police Said About Oko Oba Kidnappers Den In Oyo.

 SP. Olugbenga Fadeyi who made the disclosure on Thursday through a press release made available to News Rain confirmed that the story of the kidnappers’ den at the said location is not true.
The statement, according to SP. Fadeyi called the good people of the State to disregard the rumor and continue with their lawful daily engagements.
He said, “Following rumor of kidnappers den at Oko Oba extension along Akinmorin/Idi Igba road in Akin morin boundary of Oyo East Local govt Area of Oyo State, the Area Commander, Oyo Acp Madayi Kadmel led other DPOs under him with Vigilantes at about 12noon on Monday 21st Sept. 2020 to comb the bushes far and near in the area and nothing or any traces of anybody was found.
No traces of footsteps or evidence of settlement by the suspected criminals were found in the bushes.
No bakery or supply of bread worth 10,000 was seen. This was an unfounded story and should be disregarded.
Meanwhile, members of the public especially those in the Area should go about their lawful businesses without fear or molestation from any quarters and are endeavor to continue to partner with the Police by constantly supply credible information.
The Oyo State Police Command has put up machinery in motion to root out and dealt decisively with any individual or groups who are bent on disturbing the peace being enjoyed by the good people of Oyo State.
